Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Donald Trump — as well as Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and several other celebrities and politicians — were hacked by a group operating under a Russian web address, resulting in the release of numerous pieces of personal and financial information., the hackers’ home page, was taken off-line Tuesday. It featured the header “The Secret Files” and motto, “If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve.”

The site linked to documents such as Beyonce’s credit report and Social Security number, as well as personal information on Sarah Palin, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Britney Spears, and FBI Director Robert Mueller. Each landing page was topped with a nonsensical or political image; several had backing music like Mac Miller’s “Donald Trump” on Trump’s page.

According to USA Today, The Justice Department said it was investigating how Mueller’s information, including his address and credit report, were released.

The hackers have not released how they obtained the information or chose their targets — although both a connected Twitter profile and the site’s page on LAPD Police chief Charlie Beck contain anti-police messages, with references to the Christopher Dorner case earlier this year.
