According to band members, Motley Crue’s Australia concert was cut short yesterday after Vince Neil had to be rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery for kidney stones. Both Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx took to Twitter to update fans on the situation:

Sydney, my apologies for a short set this evening. Vince had an attack of kidney stones. He went straight from stage to the hospital.

Sorry Sydney for a short set tonight but Vince had to be rushed to the hospital for internal pain. Will update you on his progress. — Nikki Sixx (@NikkiSixx) March 10, 2013

Nikki Sixx later took to his Facebook page to explain that Neil had been in pain before the show but didn’t want to disappoint fans. After arriving at the hospital, Neil was tested and then admitted to surgery for kidney stones. The musician has since tweeted about his recovery:

Doc says I should have a full recovery and be back onstage for the Brisbane show tomorrow. Thanks to my bandmates and crew for your support!
