Jonathan Taylor Thomas joins Tim Allen on 'Last Man Standing'
Randy and Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor are together again!
At least, they will be on March 22, when Jonathan Taylor Thomas’s guest spot on Tim Allen’s sitcom Last Man Standing airs. Here’s a first look at the episode, as well as two more shots from JTT’s triumphant return to TV. (He’s been absent from the small screen since a 2005 stint on Veronica Mars.)
Thomas will play Jon, a hip restaurant owner who catches the eye of Kristin (Amanda Fuller), a single mother and Allen’s character’s oldest daughter. He’s not the first Home Improvement alum to stop by Allen’s new show; earlier this season, Richard “Al Borland” Karn did a guest spot as an architect. Glad to know he hasn’t let those tools get rusty.
NEXT: “Don’t I know you from somewhere?”
Yeah, Mike (Allen) is definitely trying to figure out where he’s seen JTT before. Wandering around the desert in a Santa costume? Searching for treasure in the caves of St. Petersburg, Missouri? Frolicking across the African savannah, maybe?
NEXT: A firm handshake
If all goes well between Jon and Kristin — as well as Jon and the rest of Kristin’s family — could Allen find himself becoming father-in-law to his own former TV son? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure — Jon needs a few friends. Like, say, a former jock turned bartender and a gothy musician played by Zachery Ty Bryan and Taran Noah Smith, respectively. Make it so, ABC!
