The internet has been buzzing over Days of Future Past, the 2014 X-Men prequel/sequel/reunion which is just one Dwayne Johnson casting rumor away from breaking the internet. (For what it’s worth, he would clearly play Strong Guy.) But don’t forget about The Wolverine, the spinoff/reboot/kinda-sequel to X3 which hits theaters this summer. The film’s Twitter feed just released an evocative shot of Hugh Jackman’s beloved adamantium-boned Canadian mutant — check it out below:

The picture was posted with this message: “The past is always behind you, but the memories still remain.” That might just be a reference to Wolvie’s generally tortured past, although conspiracy nuts might wonder if the mention of “the past” is meant to be a reference to Logan’s dead love (and rumored surprise-Neeson cameo) Jean Grey.

Also, is it just me, or does the Wolverine picture look a lot like this first shot from Skyfall?

The trend is clear: All our favorite franchises are immigrating to Asia. And Fast & Furious got there first. Just sayin’
