Matt Damon will not be using a toilet until the entire world has access to clean water.

Damon, co-founder of, a site dedicated to raising awareness and funding for clean water throughout the world, staged a press conference today. He announced that he will not be going to the bathroom until sanitation was available to everyone to a room full of “journalists” with familiar faces like YouTube star ShayCarl and Winston from New Girl (Lamorne Morris).

Damon cites the 2.5 billion people who do not have access to clean water, stating that he will not relieve himself until those people receive relief. “More people have access to cell phones than clean water,” Damon proclaims. “Just join me, and say no to toilets. Say yes to clean water and sanitation for all.”

Teaming up with YouTube favorites, he hopes the video campaign will go viral, urging supporters of the cause to donate $25 to’s campaign. The actor has popped up in clips that  ShayCarl, Wheezy Waiter, Live Prude Girls, and Lisbug have created to add their voice to the cause. Damon will appear in the future on Smosh, Epic Lloyd, Stan Lee, and John Elerick’s channels.

In the interview with Milana Vayntrub and Stevie Nelson of Live Prude Girls, Damon said that the number of people who die each year from water related causes is comparable to the population of Los Angeles.

“Notice he didn’t say Boston,” Nelson said.

“Matt Damon hates Los Angeles,” Vayntrub whispered. “Is it because Ben Affleck lives in L.A.?”

“I hate my friends too,” Nelson stated.

Hopefully Damon can raise enough money by World Water Day, March 22, to finally hit the john. Until then, good luck to the Oscar-winning actor who is just saying no when he has to go.
