Rick Hoffman is still surprised that self-saboteur sometimes-villain Louis Litt has become a fan favorite on USA’s Suits. “I was with my girlfriend in the mall here in Toronto, and we couldn’t get out of there for four hours because people kept coming up and saying such nice things about the show,” he says. “I just think that they’re, like, tricking me, and they’re gonna punch me in the face. It’s insane.” But it’s because fans have grown so invested in Louis’ rehabilitation that tonight’s episode (USA, 10 p.m. ET) is such an emotional rollercoaster. Harvey lashes out at Louis as the firm’s losing clients and associates are being poached. “This is what’s so great about the writers: Before these six episodes started, Louis was in Siberia and no one would want to talk to him, including myself — I get so heartbroken when I read that he does these things,” Hoffman says. “The first episode back was Louis’ bumbling relationship with Sheila Sazs [Rachael Harris], which is light and fun and it gives that side to Louis. And then here comes the real heavy blow with Harvey, where Louis really gets what I think he deserves.”

Watch a promo for the episode, “Blood in the Water,” below. Come back to Inside TV tonight for more of our interview with Hoffman in which he talks about Louis’ best scenes from the hour — which is one of his favorites.
