Looking to add a new powerful female singer to your collection? We might recommend Alice Smith for the job.

The New York City singer behind the 2006 Grammy-nominated album For Lovers, Dreamers & Me is set to release her sophomore effort She in March, and you can hear the album’s second single exclusively here. (The album’s first, “Cabaret,” came out last November and is definitely worth a listen too.)

Titled “Ocean,” the evocative new track toggles between rootsy, guitar-plucked verses and a bouncy, soul-pop chorus that’ll have no problem finding a home on stereos this spring.

Listen to Smith’s new song for yourself below:

She hits stores March 19, but you can catch Smith before that in New York, where she’ll be holding down a residency at Rockwood Music Hall beginning Jan. 29.
