We mean Edgar Allan Poe, of course.

San Francisco rockers the Stone Foxes have a new “Tell-Tale Heart”-inspired video for their latest single “Everybody Knows,” and you can watch it exclusively here.

“The idea for the video was to bring the lyrics to life, and match the eerie mood of the music,” member Shannon Koehler says of the clip, which director David Dutton shot in one day in downtown San Francisco. “With the lyrical plot being loosely based on Edgar Allen Poe’s A Tale Tell Heart, we tried to make the movie dark, spooky, and increasingly chaotic to convey madness. The heart of the young boy is constantly spliced in to serve as the anchor of the story, and is meant to haunt the viewer through the movie like it haunts the businessman.”
