Thanks to social media, everyone’s a fashion critic.

During Sunday’s Golden Globes, InStyle magazine partnered with Facebook to keep tabs on the fashion and beauty trends that generated the most buzz with the first-ever Red Carpet Talk Meter, and the results are in.

We graded our favorite (and not so favorite) red carpet looks, but according to the Red Carpet Talk Meter, Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence sparked the most chatter. Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Jessica Alba rounded out the list of stars with the five most talked about dresses. Thanks to Hathaway, Chanel was the most talked about designer label of the night, with Armani — who dressed Jodi Foster, Stacy Keibler and Olivia Munn — coming in a close second. Dior — worn by Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence — rounded out the top three.

The most-buzzed about trends of the night were lace, cut-outs, mermaid silhouettes, long sleeves, sequins, and red was voted “Favorite Color.”

When it came to beauty, Anne Hathaway’s pixie, Taylor Swift’s low bun, and Jessica Chastain’s Old Hollywood-inspired waves were the most discussed hairstyles. Zooey Deschanel’s movie-themed nail art was the most buzzed about manicure.

Although men might not have had asmany elements to their looks, Hugh Jackman’s Louis Vuitton tux started the most conversations, with Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day-Lewis, Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch following suit.

A Facebook poll of women crowned Kate Hudson best dressed, while men preferred Jessica Alba. Both genders were in agreement that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were the most stylish celebrity couple.
