Here’s a feel-good Monday morning story for you. Social media has done it again: Last night, country singer Dierks Bentley sent out Twitter and Facebook flares that his dog Jake — a fan favorite thanks to his appearances in music videos, song lyrics, and album art — had jumped a fence during thunderstorms and was missing. Bentley and other concerned folks, including the president of his record label, drove around Nashville in the middle of the night looking for him to no avail. But after he’d been gone for approximately 16 hours, Jake was found by someone on Facebook who rescued him after he was almost hit by another car and promptly reunited him with Bentley (pictured, via WhoSay). Bentley wasn’t afraid to admit he got emotional. See the tweet below.

P.S. I’m not afraid to admit that the first thing I did this morning when I woke up was to check Twitter to see if Jake had been found.
