There can be Saturday Night Live hosting gigs…when you BELIEVE.

That seems to be the motto of Twitter king and recent marijuana-enthusiast Justin Bieber who is teasing fans with a potential Saturday Night Live hosting gig next month. (EW reached out to a publicist for Saturday Night Live, who didn’t return a request for comment.) Last week Bieber tweeted, “2013 got some big things coming…. gonna stay positive. #BELIEVE,” and then added, “2013. what’s coming? #snl ???” Earlier this afternoon he doubled-down, writing, “maybe im hosting and performing on SNL…maybe. :).”

It the rumors are true, this could be a great idea for a guy who has got five Brits stealing teen hearts from him left and right. He’s got a none-scandal to laugh off; he can make fun of his Grammy snubs that he obviously really cares about; sometimes-girlfriend Selena Gomez can join him for a surprise cameo and duet with Bieber on Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” or something else silly, and, most importantly, it’s long past time there is a good sketch about celebrities and Twitter, which he would be perfect for.

Bieber has never hosted the show, but has made some cameo appearances, most notably when he was the musical guest on SNL back in 2010. An incredibly baby-faced Biebs (Seriously, if you think he’s young-looking now…) joined host Tina Fey in a memorable sketch that featured a forbidden teacher/student relationship that had Bieber crooning away and Fey swooning:

Do you think Bieber can follow in another famous Justin’s footsteps and become a Saturday Night Live hit?
