Jessica Simpson announced on Twitter today that she and fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, are expecting their second child. The tweet read: “Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” and included a picture of their daughter, seven-month old Maxwell Drew, in front of the words “Big Sis” written in the sand.

Rumors had been swirling online about the pregnancy in recent weeks, according to People, but until now were not confirmed. It’s not the first time Simpson has used Twitter for big news — she announced her first pregnancy in October 2011 on Twitter by posting a picture of herself dressed as a mummy with the text “It’s True! I am going to be a mummy.”

Simpson has recently been working with Weight Watchers as part of an endorsement deal after giving birth to her first child. The weight loss company tweeted their congratulations to the singer on Tuesday: “Congrats to @JessicaSimpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell! Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you’ve had!”
