Pint-sized Spider-Man fans: Your time is coming.

Disney XD has just announced that Ultimate Spider-Man will have a one-hour season 2 premiere on Monday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. ET. Most excitingly, the new season will introduce some of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains, including the Lizard (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb) and Electro. Season 2 will also have Spidey joined by some other superhero friends: The Avengers, including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, and Hawkeye will get in on the animated fun.

But the superhero news doesn’t end there. During the Ultimate Spider-Man premiere, Disney XD will launch Marvel Comics Close-Up, “a series of interstitials hosted by Joe Quesada (Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer) and Dylan Riley Snyder (Kickin’ It) encouraging kids to read,” according to a press release. Along with that, there will be free digital Marvel comics available on The interstitials will give viewers an inside look at 10 Marvel Comics, featuring popular characters such as Spider-Man and the Avengers, as well as acclaimed comic book creators and artists.
