When we decided that we wanted a fun way to look back at some of this year’s big happenings in family entertainment, singer Laurie Berkner knew just what to do to get us into the holiday spirit. She wrote a song about it. Wanna hear it? Here it goes.

Take a look at the video below.

And if you can’t get enough of Berkner, check her out on The Sunny Side Up Show on Sprout this Friday 12/21 (9am to 12 noon ET), where she’ll join Carly and Chica the Chicken as part of Holiday Music Week, singing “Jingle Bells” and two original songs: “Candy Cane Jane” and “Christmas Lights” from her newly released first-ever Christmas album A Laurie Berkner Christmas.

Also, Sprout will air the Academy Award-winning short film The Gruffalo, based on the classic children’s picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, and its companion film The Gruffalo’s Child on Saturday, December 22 at 1pm, 9pm and 12am EST. (You can also catch reairings on 12/26 and 12/27.)
