After spending 10 seasons as a judge on the fashion reality competition Project Runway, Michael Kors is vacating his chair.

Though designer is out, he wasn’t “auf’d.”

Kors’ schedule kept him from signing on for season 11, but he will return to help judge the finale, according to a statement from Lifetime.

Designer Zac Posen, who will fill Kors’ shoes as a “featured judge,” learned a thing or two from his predecessor when he appeared on Project Runway as a guest judge. “I saw he was always a generous, warm mentor,” Posen told the New York Times.

Kors’ departure is not the only change that’s coming to the runway in season 11; For the first time, the aspiring designers will compete as teams, instead of as individuals.

Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn, who are all returning to their regular posts, will welcome a slate of guest judges that includes Bette Midler, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Joan and Melissa Rivers, and designers Rachel Roy, Tracy Reese, Chris Benz and Project Runway season 4 winner Christian Siriano.

Season 11 of Project Runway premieres on Lifetime on Jan. 24 at 9 p.m. ET.
