Kelly Clarkson engaged

Miss Independent is now also Miss Bride-to-Be.

Kelly Clarkson announced today via Twitter that she is engaged to marry boyfriend Brandon Blackstock.

“I’M ENGAGED!!!!!” she wrote. “I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)”

The former American Idol champ, 30, has been dating talent manager Blackstock (who is country star Reba McEntire’s stepson) for a year, according to People.
