Star maps are so passé. HGTV is taking audiences on an inside tour of homes once inhabited by celebrities with a new special, I Bought a Famous House.

“It’s the perfect blend of real estate and that celebrity factor,” host Brian Balthazar told EW. “Who doesn’t love to be a voyeur inside a celebrity’s home?”

During the one hour special, Balthazar will tour the former residences of Madonna, Frank Sinatra, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Paris Hilton, to see how the multi-million dollar dwellings have changed (or not) since being sold to non-famous homeowners.

“As far as Madonna’s place goes, you get to see how she envisioned it — or her brother [Christopher Ciccone] rather — and then you see what the [new owner] did to it,” said Balthazar. “Some people love the fact that they live in a celebrity’s home and other people actually want to do everything they can to change it.”

Watch the video after the jump to see how Madonna’s former Hollywood Hills mansion, Castillo del Lago, has changed, and tune into HGTV tonight at 8pm EST to see what has become of the rest of the celebrity digs. Spoiler Alert: the current owners of Paris Hilton’s party pad decided to keep the stripper pole the heiress had built into a marble coffee table. If only it could talk, imagine the stories it could tell!

HGTV’s “I Bought A Famous House,” airs Friday, December 14th, at 8 pm ET/PT.
