Boy Meets World Cast

Judging by you commenters – and the rest of the Internet – people are just a little bit excited about the Boy Meets World reboot. Add in the fact that we now know for sure that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are returning (!!!) to the planned Disney Channel spinoff Girl Meets World and fans are already clamoring for more to join them. This means you, Fee-Fee-Feeny. But in our excitement as we started to rewatch old episodes, we discovered that there are quite a few famous faces to come out of the show, beyond the main cast. Cameo appearances in Girl Meets World? Doubtful, but it sure is fun to look back at these in-no-particular-order actors who also once upon a time were traveling down a road we call life with the Boy Meets World gang.

10. Adam Scott

He may play a Star Trek fanfiction writer now on Parks & Rec, but nerdy Ben would have gotten beaten up by Scott’s Boy Meets World character, tough guy temporary ringleader Griff.

9. Brittany Murphy

Murphy sadly passed away in 2009, but prior to that she was a rom-com queen starring in Clueless, Just Married, and more serious fare like 8 Mile. She was in a few episodes in the early seasons of Boy Meets World as a friend of Topanga’s who goes on an ill-fated date with Cory in an attempt to get Cory and Topanga together (finally!).

8. Marcia Cross

One of two actresses who played Topanga’s mom, Cross was well-known for her work on Melrose Place, but we were still years away from her iconic Desperate Housewives character Bree Van De Kamp.

7. Linda Cardellini

You may love the Freaks & Geeks star, but she was no fan favorite on Boy Meets World. On the ill-fated ski trip, she got in between Cory and Topanga, earning her the hate of many a self-respecting nineties preteen.

6. Rue McClanahan

The Golden Girl, who passed away in 2010, played Cory’s grandmother in the season one episode “Grandma Was A Rolling Stone” (Start at 4:30).

NEXT: Felicity, an American Pie star and more!

5. Mena Suvari

The American Pie and American Beauty star appeared briefly in the season two episode, “Danger Boy,” as one of two girls on an Eric/Shawn double-date that Cory wasn’t invited on. Bonus: Not-even-a-bit-ironic nineties cropped top fashion.

4. Shane West

Standing in the way between Cory and Topanga? New boyfriend West a.k.a. Nick, prior to roles on E.R. and A Walk To Remember (Start at 12:05).

3. Fred Savage

Sure, this was after he was already famous, but we couldn’t resist throwing Ben Savage’s big brother up on this list. In a total 180 from his Wonder Years days, Savage played a professor at the gang’s college who makes a move on Topanga. Who knew Kevin Arnold could be so sleazy?

2. Keri Russell

In the seventh episode of the series, way back in 1993, Russell guest-starred as Mr. Feeny’s niece Jessica whom Eric develops a crush on (Start at 11:10).

1. Jennifer Love Hewitt

Party of Five star Hewitt spoofed herself — and Scream — in one very creepy season five episode (Start at 4:00).

What are your favorite appearances?
