The Catching Fire cast is currently filming in beautiful Hawaii, a setting which doesn’t seem to have much to do with grim dystopian Panem. But as readers of the Hunger Games books know [SPOILERS if you don’t like reading, weirdo] the Arena that plays host to the 75th Hunger Games in Catching Fire has a body of water and a curious environmental climate which seems perfect for a tropical island. A photographer snapped some photos from the set, which feature a look at Jennifer Lawrence in her Quarter Quell outfit, Josh Hutcherson in the water, and a guy who appears to be Finnick acting very Finnick-y indeed. Look on!
The Quarter Quell uniforms are decidedly more jumpsuit-y than the outfits rocked by the tributes in The Hunger Games. It looks vaguely like Jennifer Lawrence is wearing a monochrome-swapped Future Foundation outfit, or a wetsuit made out of a roller blade you owned in 1992. Either way: Pretty cool.
NEXT: Katniss dives in
Here we get a nice behind-the-scenes look of some movie magic. Keep in mind: That boom-mike guy is currently in Hawaii, and what are you doing with your life?
NEXT: Peeta gets wet
Here we find Hollywood glamourboy and two-franchise athlete Josh Hutcherson hanging out in the water between takes. Fans know that Hutcherson’s character Peeta can’t swim. If only there were a certain handsome fisherman with big strong arms and dreamy eyes lurking around somewhere nearby…
NEXT: Witness Finnick, Handsome Merman of Your Dreams
The EW Facial Analysis Mainframe is 90 percent sure that this is Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, the dashing trident-wielding totally-handsome-but-secretly-melancholic victor from District 4. Swim, Finnick, swim!
NEXT: A bow and arrow!
Yep, your kids are still going to beg you for those archery classes. Be warned. (I think that’s supposed to be Mags behind Katniss, although the actress looks a little young… although she could also be a stunt double!)
NEXT: Katniss smiles.
She’s a little chilly! But she’s gonna film this movie, goshdarn it! Countdown to Jennifer Lawrence winning an Oscar in 5, 4, 3, 2…
