Cable will be very good to Patton Oswalt in 2013, but he’s afraid to say too much about it. In January he makes his first appearance as Constable Bob Sweeney in the season 4 premiere of FX’s Justified. ”It’s a guy that basically wants to be Raylan Givens [Timothy Olyphant] but is not,” the actor, 43, says. ”I do get to do stuff that’s superfunny and violent…. I’ll leave it at that.” He also has a multi-episode arc on The Newsroom (returning to HBO this summer) as the network’s new VP of human resources. And that part he won’t tease at all. ”These are good shows!” he says. ”If I was doing a guest spot on Mad Men, you wouldn’t want me saying anything. Part of the enjoyment is watching it unfold.”
