Kristen Stewart talks to Jay Leno about 'Breaking Dawn' twist ending
While her sometimes-boyfriend and full-time-costar Robert Pattinson was busy chatting up Jimmy Kimmel, Stewart stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to discuss Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.
The actress — whose awkwardness during public appearances is well-documented — seemed particularly nervous for this chat, although she shouldn’t have been. The in-studio audience was supportive, cheering for her whether she discussed fans in Tokyo or the story behind her new fragrance.
In the more entertaining second segment, Stewart dished on vampires. When Leno asked her to set up Breaking Dawn — Part 2, she explained, “Popped one out, pretty concerned with that. Me and Edward are doing quite well, people keep trying to kill my baby. But I’m now super spectacular so I can take care of that, being a vampire.”
When Leno questioned her about the rumored twist ending to the franchise, she couldn’t help but get excited. “It’s so shocking,” she promised. “Every time I see it or even think about it I get giddy. It freaks me out.” But fans of the books shouldn’t worry that the films will go in an entirely different direction. “It’s easy to skim over. But you can find the root of our little twist [in the book].”
Sorry to those hoping for a different Cullen versus Volturi outcome.
