Lil Wayne, 30, was hospitalized on Oct. 25 and again on Oct. 26 following health scares. (Both incidents reportedly occurred while he was on board a private plane, and each required an emergency landing.) The rapper later tweeted, ”Thanx for all the prayers! I am good.”… Hip-hop star Sean Combs, 42, reportedly sustained multiple injuries to his neck, ribs, and collarbone after an SUV he was riding in collided with another vehicle in L.A. on Oct. 24.


It’s a boy! Hawaii Five-0 actor Alex O’Loughlin, 36, and his girlfriend, model Malia Jones, 35, welcomed a son on Oct. 25.


Tom Cruise, 50, filed a $50 million suit against Bauer Publishing on Oct. 24 over Life & Style stories that claimed the actor ”abandoned” his 6-year-old daughter, Suri, following his divorce from her mom, Katie Holmes…. Bobby Brown, 43, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in Los Angeles on Oct. 24. It is his second DUI arrest in seven months…. The sound and the fury: The estate of William Faulkner has filed a copyright-infringement suit against Sony Pictures, claiming it appropriated a quote from the literary great in the 2011 Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris. Sony has called the suit ”frivolous.”


Comedy writer Alan Kirschenbaum, 51, who co-created the long-running CBS sitcom Yes, Dear and worked on shows including Raising Hope and Everybody Loves Raymond, died on Oct. 26 in an apparent suicide. ”We are stunned and devastated to hear the news of Alan’s passing,” CBS said in a statement. ”We have lost a longtime colleague, a valued friend, and truly one of the most well-liked individuals in our midst.”… Natina Reed, a member of the R&B group Blaque and a star of the 2000 comedy Bring It On, was struck by a car and killed as she walked along a Georgia highway on Oct. 26. She was 32.
