Many kids look up to professional athletes or dream of becoming one, so Disney XD’s My Life as an NBA Rookie (7PM ET/PT.) is hitting the right demo with this look at these larger than life figures when they were just making it big. Hosted by Billy Unger, star of Disney XD’s Lab Rats, the special boasts exclusive footage of New Orleans Hornets’ power forward Anthony Davis practicing with the 2012 USA Basketball Men’s National Team, behind-the-scenes footage of the NBA Draft Combine and NBA Draft, a look at how players mentally and physically prepare for training camp and opening night, while revealing entertaining rookie duties.

Check out these clips below of LeBron James joking with league commissioner David Stern and a young Dwight Howard.

My Life as an NBA Rookie includes Howard and  Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, James of the Miami Heat, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler of the New York Knicks, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Deron Williams of the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, among others. It will air as part of the channel’s sports themed “Nothing But Net Marathon,” which will feature episodes of Kickin’ It, Lab Rats, and Crash & Bernstein beginning at 5 p.m. ET/PT.
