Hurrican Sandy watch -- Celebrities weigh in on Twitter
If it’s trending, you can bet celebs are going to tweet about it.
And this weekend, there was no bigger story than the impending “Frankenstorm.” Morning news — and particularly the weather people strolling the New Jersey boardwalk — had plenty to say, and they weren’t the only ones. Most simply tweeted messages of support, but others started questioning things. Lindsay Lohan, for one, thought the news was in hyper-panic mode: “WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i’m calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace.”
Check out what other celebrities — such as jokester Ricky Gervais and Andy Cohen — had to say about
Sally Sandy (including a shocking lack of Grease jokes) below:
Ricky Gervais: “This “Sandy” who’s on TV all the time and is blowing the entire east coast, I assume she’s a Kardashian right?”
RuPaul: “FrankenStorm NYC: People in very long line at grocery store are drunk on hysteria. I decided to buy chocolate at deli instead.”
Beth Behrs: “hope all my east coast friends are warm and safe right now! sending good vibes! #Sandy hope all my east coast friends are warm and safe right now! sending good vibes! #Sandy”
Tracy Morgan: “Everyone on the east coast stay safe and batten down hatches!”
Bette Midler: “Batten down the hatches!! I’m baking macaroons for the duration. Hope it’s over before Hulaween!!!! Eeeeeeekkkk!!”
Faith Hill: “Our family sends all our prayers to those in the path of Sandy….”
Mindy Kaling: “9 months from now hopefully we will have some cool Hurricane Sandy babies!”
Patton Oswalt, with the requisite Grease reference: “Which newscast is going to be the first to use “Sandy” from the GREASE soundtrack in their hurricane coverage?”
Andy Cohen: “In preparation for #Sandy I am downloading 10 more episodes of #FridayNightLights”
Marathoning some television? We can get on board with that. East coasters, what are your plans?
