Copper hasn’t steered away from showing the violent ways of 1860s New York City — and the same is true of the show’s upcoming season finale, airing this Sunday on BBC America.

In the episode, Det. Corcoran (Tom Weston-Jones) is trying to protect the city from an attack by Confederate terrorists, and the lawman — and his brass knuckles — will go to any lengths to prevent it. (Watch the moment in our exclusive clip below.)

In related news, BBC America announced yesterday that the series was renewed for a second season that will be comprised of 13 episodes.
