This would be the beginning of one epic love story.

Lots of young women (and plenty of dudes!) love Taylor Swift. So I suppose it was inevitable that someone would use Ms. Swift — and her songs about boys — to get dates. Filmmaker Tommy Wooldridge went the hidden-camera route in the video below, going up to random girls and dropping Taylor Swift’s most swoon-worthy lyrics as pick-up lines.

From “You’re the reason for the teardrops on my guitar” to “Do you remember we were sitting there by the water?” they’re all here. It’s totally ridiculous, sure, but you have to admire his commitment despite being rejected time after time…after time. And he seems rather sweet, no? A special well played to Mr. Wooldridge for working in “I Knew You Were Trouble,” which was only released last week.
