Lindsay Lohan will sit down for a one-on-one chat with Barbara Walters in the next few weeks, a source close to the situation confirmed to EW. The talk is pegged to Lohan’s role in the Lifetime original movie Liz & Dick, premiering Nov. 25.

TMZ, who first reported the news, says Walters expressed an interest in interviewing Lohan when she was cast as Elizabeth Taylor, and that the chat will focus on the parallels between the two actresses.

The parallels have been discussed before – Lifetime’s advertising campaign for the television movie revolves around Taylor’s own troubles.

Lohan’s last big interview was in March, when she sat down with Matt Lauer to discuss the end of her probation and hosting Saturday Night Live. An airdate for the Walters interview has not yet been announced. Walters’ rep has not returned a request for comment.

In addition to Liz & Dick, we can assume Walters will also ask about Lohan’s recent trouble with her parents. And — one can hope — Lohan may also shed more light on that Romney endorsement.
