While other celebs spent the weekend getting sick onstage, perennial golden couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé made a rare public performance together, at Jay-Z’s final night of his eight Brooklyn, NY shows at new Barclays Center. (EW’s Leah Greenblatt was at opening night—read her review).

The final night was streaming free on Jay’s Life + Times site, and fans watching at home (not to mention those lucky enough to have tickets!) got an extra thrill when Jay-Z’s superstar wife Beyoncé hit the stage as a surprise addition.

Bey took over the arena (in a Brooklyn Nets hat, natch), first performing “Diva” – complete with her own backup dancers — and then segued into “Crazy in Love” with Jay-Z. But it looks like Jay was a little too crazy in awe of his wife – he seemingly missed his cue before coming out and finishing the song.

The real high point came later in the show, when Beyoncé appeared with Jay-Z again, this time to perform “Young Forever.” This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has joined him for a live performance on that track. She also memorably provided some powerful vocals when the duo performed it at Coachella in 2010.
