On April 2, 2011, the dance-punk band LCD Soundsystem played their final concert to a packed house at Madison Square Garden. It was no surprise that the show was epic (they’d been doing this for a while). More confounding was why frontman James Murphy was calling it quits at the peak of the band’s success.
