Ah, another Foo Fighters festival appearance, another round of break-up rumors.

At the band’s massive Global Citizen Festival show in New York’s Central Park last Saturday, band leader Dave Grohl hinted to the audience that the Foos might be hanging up their hats. “Without making a big deal out of it, we don’t have any shows after this,” he said. “This is it, man.”

Added Grohl, “Honestly, I don’t know when we’re gonna do it again.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Foo fans have heard such threats. In late August, Grohl told his audience at England’s Reading Festival that they were witnessing not only “the last show of the tour” but also “the last show for a long time” — which, obviously, wasn’t quite true.

“Jeesh!” he later wrote on the band’s official Twitter account. “Relax… I was only talking to England!! About England… Stop eavesdropping internets!”

Currently, the “Tour” section of the band’s website reads, “We are coming for you too. More shows being added here soon.”

Certainly a mixed message, but who knows. Could this be it for the Foos? Probably not, but if so, the video below documents the end of the hardworking rock band’s impressive 18-year run. Take a look at the clip and give us your analysis of Grohl’s remarks in the comments section:
