There was a single moment when I started sobbing last night watching Bones. All episode, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) were at odds with each other, since she took their daughter and ran away for three months. (Bones was being framed for murder and she had to go, but that doesn’t mean that Booth gets those three months back. Ever.) And she still doesn’t understand the repercussions for her relationship with Booth or his relationship with baby Christine. Plus, their investigation into the death of a divorce attorney added to the tension that had me very upset. (I can’t handle them breaking up, after it took six seasons to get them together.) But near the end of the hour, while Brennan does her “looking at bones” thing, Booth watches her from the hall. As the camera pans to his face, he starts to smile, ever so slightly. And that’s when I lost it.

How defenseless am I against the charms of David Boreanaz? Especially when he looks like that!

Things aren’t perfect with them. But with the curving of his upper lip, you knew they would be soon. (Indeed, at the end of the episode, they had mostly made up, but we’ll see what lies ahead for these two.)

So am I the only one who was moved to tears by Booth’s smile?
