They’re back, and their shaggy hair has collectively moved in one direction: Up.

The well-coiffed lads of the most popular boy band on the planet have just released a new song and video for the lead single off their upcoming album Take Me Home: a not-so-innocent (despite what the very PG video suggests) party jam called “Live While We’re Young.”

Columbia decided to release the song and video early after the track leaked onto the web this morning.

“I know we only met but let’s pretend it’s love,” the boys sing. “Tonight let’s get some/And live while we’re young.”

The track features the same hand claps, electric guitar riffs, and synthesizer bursts that made their debut album an upbeat pop smash.

The video, meanwhile, kind of looks like Moonrise Kingdom as shot by a member of Katy Perry’s lollipop brigade. Notable moments include glowstick campfire dances, inflatable pool splashing, four wheeler racing, and an unfortunate blonde streak in Zayn’s hair.

Oh, and it also features this shot, which is destined to blow up Tumblr in about 3, 2, — oh heck, it probably already has.

That Harry Styles. Shameless!

What do you think of 1D’s new song? Is it destined to be as successful as “What Makes You Beautiful?”
