Kate Bosworth will star opposite Jason Statham and James Franco in the action thriller Homefront, as the meth-addicted sister of a drug kingpin (Franco) who runs up against a former DEA agent (Statham) looking for a quieter life in a small town that just happens to be ruled by a drug kingpin. Meanwhile, Frank Grillo (Warrior, Prison Break) is in talks to costar as a one of Franco’s henchmen. Gary Fleder (Runaway Jury) is directing from a script by…wait for it…Sylvester Stallone. Parker Posey has joined, and Milo Ventimiglia is in talks to join, Grace of Monaco, about Grace Kelly (Nicole Kidman), the famed actress who became the monarch for the tiny European country of Monaco when she married Prince Rainier III (Tim Roth). The story focuses on Kelly and Rainier’s efforts to reform the nation’s status as tax haven. Posey is playing the spectacularly named Madge Tivey-Faucon, one of Princess Grace’s ladies-in-waiting. Ventimiglia would play Grace’s press agent, Rupert Allan. Frank Langella and Paz Vega costar. Olivier Dahan (La vie en rose) is directing from a script by Arash Amel. [Variety]

Katee Sackhoff (Longmire, Battlestar Galactica) has signed onto the horror film Oculus, as the mother of two children who grow up to be orphans haunted and terrorized by an evil antique mirror. So, spoiler alert, things don’t end up too good for Sackhoff’s character. Karen Gillen (Dr. Who) will play one of the children as an adult. Director Mike Flanagan (Absentia) penned the script with Jeff Howard. [Deadline]

Teri Polo (Meet the Parents), Cary Elwes (No Strings Attached), and Agnes Bruckner (The Pact) are entering into a dangerous romantic triangle in the indie A Bit of Bad Luck, playing, respectively, a scheming socialite, her cheating husband, and his mistress. Writer-director John W. Fuhrman is making his feature debut. [Deadline]
