CW developing 'Alice in Wonderland' cop drama

This sounds like a clusterfudge, but let’s get into it: The CW is developing a contemporary version of Alice in Wonderland. Alice will be a modern-day big city detective. McG is one of the executive producers, along with writer Chad Hodge (The Playboy Club) and Peter Johnson. What could go wrong?

In this version, Alice discovers a fantastical world beneath Los Angeles. The working title is Wunderland (yes,with a “u”). It sounds a bit like The CW’s upcoming reboot of Beauty and the Beast, right?

As previously reported, The CW also has a Sleepy Hollow and Wonder Woman series in the works. Guess the good news is the network is done with trying to clone Gossip Girl.
