When you fantasize about your dream home, what comes to mind? For me, it’s Carl and Ellie Fredricksen’s charming, vibrant, cozy house from Pixar’s animated film Up. (It used to be the blue-shuttered mansion Noah built Allie in The Notebook until I realized Ryan Gosling would never come with the house.) Bangerter Homes has built an exact replica of the residence (complete with Carl and Elie’s adorable hand print-stamped mailbox) and a family in Utah has made the fantasy home their reality. They’ve even shot a seven-minute video tour of the interior.

Here are some of our favorite things:

1. Aviator goggles on the hat rack near the entrance

2. Ukelele displayed atop the fireplace

3. Modernistic painting of Paradise Falls (Carl’s ultimate destination)

4. Wedding portrait of Carl and Elie beside a photo of the homeowners

5. Carl’s tennis ball-footed cane beside the family dog Coda

6. Bronzed baby shoes next to a Donald Duck figurine

7. My Adventure Journal on a side table

8. Phonograph

9. 1950s TV set

10. Pillow placed on a patterned armchair with the embroidered message ”A dream is a wish your heart makes”

I want to go to there! And I will the next time I visit Herriman, Utah. In the meantime, I’ll continue to stalk “The ‘UP’ House” Facebook page.

Here’s the video:
