It wasn’t the first time that female hosts went au naturale in front of the camera. (Remember when Hoda and Kathie Lee did it on Today in 2010?) But that didn’t stop the women of The Talk from kicking off the new season today sans makeup and colorful wardrobe. Clad only in towels, the five hosts of the CBS talker made especially candid comments — Sheryl Underwood said “I’m more worried about scaring the children” while Sharon Osbourne claimed her taut and clear skin had been “bought and paid for” — while exposing their true selves to viewers.

But the medal of bravery should go to Julie Chen, aka the “Chinese Dolly Parton,” because she endured most of the camera close-ups.
