Jason Aldean has been in NYC this week, helping to announce CMA Award nominations (he earned three including Entertainer, Male Vocalist, and Single of the Year), and doing small gigs in advance of tonight’s concert at New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center. (He also spent a night drinking with EW for an upcoming Three Rounds story; stay tuned.)

Best news: He’s been playing the title track of his new album, Night Train, due out next month, live for the first time — first at the MLB Fan Cave on Sept. 4 (watch a fan-shot video of that performance below) and then during last night’s “Live on Letterman” webcast.

It’s got another driving chorus, and odds are, by the time he hits it the second time and takes “Come on, baby, let’s go listen to the niiiight traaaain” high, you’ll wish you could ride along, too.
