Sam Claflin joins the ''Hunger Games: Catching Fire'' franchise, Michael Strahan is the new ''Live! With Kelly'' cohost, and more

Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman) will play Hunger Games champion Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, out Nov. 22, 2013. He joins Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, and Amanda Plummer for the second edition of the franchise.

Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Hairspray, Chicago, Smash) will produce the Academy Awards telecast, scheduled for Feb. 24. Meron promises they’ll name a host ”very soon.”

Former NFL player Michael Strahan will join Kelly Ripa as a permanent cohost on ABC’s Live! With Kelly when the talk show returns Sept. 4, sources confirm to EW. A rep for ABC had no comment.

Ex-Saturday Night Live star Abby Elliott will appear in a multi-episode arc on How I Met Your Mother as Janeane, the ”craziest girl the HIMYM gang has ever encountered,” says exec producer Craig Thomas.

Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin has snagged a cameo in Vince Vaughn‘s comedy feature The Internship, set for a June 2013 release.
