Bryan Cranston appears to have a new partner in comedy crime: NBC. Having recently directed an episode of The Office, the Breaking Bad star will step in front of the camera to appear in an episode of another Peacock comedy, 30 Rock, alongside Christopher Guest mockumentary staple Catherine O’Hara, NBC has confirmed. The pair will help round out the world of peculiar page Kenneth (Jack McBrayer), as O’Hara will play Kenneth’s mom and Cranston will assume the role of his “mom’s ‘friend,'” 30 Rock star and creator Tina Fey told TV Guide, who first reported the news.

30 Rock begins its seventh and final season on Oct. 4. The Cranston-O’Hara episode is slated to air this fall.
