Film producer Brian Gerber (The 11th Hour) committed suicide by driving his car off a highway embankment in the mountains north of Los Angeles, according to multiple reports. Gerber, 41, who had been missing since Monday, reportedly left a suicide note.

Gerber was best known for producing documentaries, including 2008’s The Dungeon Masters — about a group of devoted Dungeons and Dragons players — and the 2007 environmental awareness film The 11th Hour, which was narrated and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. He was also instrumental in founding the Digital Hollywood content summit.
