Do you have a fixin’ for the Dixons? It seems to be only a matter of time before Daryl is reunited with his racist redneck brother Merle on The Walking Dead, especially with Merle now surfacing in season 3 alongside the Governor in the town of Woodbury. But we’re super impatient and couldn’t wait for that to happen, so we brought the two people who play them, Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, together for one of our four Walking Dead season 3 sneak peek covers.

We sat the dynamic duo down during our photo shoot and asked them what exactly is going to happen when the brothers meet up. “This one is going to be a little more pissed off,” said Reedus, pointing to the man who plays Merle. “I’m always pissed off, so that’s not fair,” responded Rooker. Okay, but how would the two actors who play the Dixon brothers fare in a real life zombie apocalypse? To hear all about their personal survival strategies as well as their characters’ impending reunion, click on the video player below. And you can click here to buy the Daryl and Merle Entertainment Weekly cover (or all four new Walking Dead covers in a special bundle pack).
