Jennifer Lopez is stepping behind the scenes for her next post-American Idol gig.

ABC Family announced today it has greenlit a hour-long family drama, tentatively titled The Fosters, that Lopez is set to executive produce. The show, from creators Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (who played Emmett on Queer as Folk), follows the story of a multi-ethnic family made up of both foster and biological kids, all of whom are being raised by two moms.

The network also said it has picked up a one-hour drama from Gilmore Girls EP Gavin Polone, titled Socio. It centers on a (“alleged”) sociopath teenager who reconnects with his two best friends from childhood and soon finds himself the prime suspect in a murder investigation.

“ABC Family continues to find and develop original programming that adds new dimension and depth to the storytelling we offer,” Kate Juergens, the network’s executive vice president of original programming and development, said in a release. “Both these shows are headed by wonderful executive producers who know the millennial space well and know how to connect with audiences.”
