'The View': Richard Gere and the Biebs' mom on tap for season 16 -- EXCLUSIVE

Richard Gere will head to the couch with the ladies of The View for the first time on Sept. 14 when he stops by to promote Arbitrage, a thriller about a successful hedge fund manager whose world starts falling to pieces, which got him rave reviews at Sundance.

On Sept 19, Justin Bieber's mom Patti Mallette will be there to talk about her book, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom, which comes out next month and chronicles her journey with her megastar son. Actors Jon Cryer and Andrew McCarthy are both set to appear the day before. Also scheduled for the coming weeks are Jennifer Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Dwayne Wade, Amy Adams, and Bachelorette stars Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan.

Season 16 of the ABC gabfest starts Sept. 4.
