The Office is on its way out, but NBC is not wasting any time looking for fresh meat.

50/50 writer Will Reiser and sister Robin Reiser have sold a half-hour comedy pilot to NBC, titled The High Life. The show centers on a newly sober mother and wife who must deal with life’s many stresses — without drinking. The pair will serve as writers and executive producers.

Emmy-nominated director Jake Kasdan and writer JJ Philbin, both of whom work on Fox’s New Girl, will also executive produce along with Willie Mercer (EP on The Burn with Jeff Ross).

50/50, which starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan, was loosely based on Will Reiser’s life and nabbed him an Indie Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay.
