You’d think that we’d be tired of seeing soccer stud David Beckham in his skivvies by now, but just the opposite is true. Each scantily clad image of Becks seems to be better than the last. The latest photo to feast your eyes on comes from a shoot for H&M’s Beckham bodywear collection.

Beckham (along with his ultra-posh singer/designer wife Victoria) used to be the face (and body) of Emporio Armani from 2008 to 2010 and made the switch to the Swedish mass market brand this year.

To promote the line, H&M has erected 10-foot-tall metallic statues of Becks sporting the briefs in New York and California. The God-like treatment is only fitting for this generation’s Adonis. Because he helped bring fire to man a few weeks ago at the Olympic torch-lighting ceremony, you could also liken him to Prometheus. But then again, Prometheus wasn’t exactly eye candy.

The statues will be on display inside H&M’s midtown-Manhattan store, in Central Park and at the South Street Seaport in New York City as well as in Los Angeles and San Francisco until Aug. 31.
