Susan Lucci hosts Investigation Discovery's 'Deadly Affairs'
Investigation Discovery
- TV Show
Who better to host a new series titled Deadly Affairs than the queen of daytime Susan Lucci? No one, honestly. Come September, the former All My Children legend will lead the aptly-named new Investigation Discovery show that takes an inside look at dalliances gone wrong, everything from “love triangles that implode to office romances exposed,” says the network’s official description for the series. “They happen in real life and, sometimes, are stranger than fiction.” Lucci’s Erica Kane might take issue with that.
To give you a taste of what’s to come on the show, Investigation Discovery has produced a series of web shorts that will premiere this weekend on the network’s website and feature Lucci doling out cheeky advice about how to spot an affair. EW has an exclusive sneak peek at the first one, which focuses on grooming. “In marriage, there are always distractions,” Lucci says. “I know it’s shocking, but one in five spouses will cheat. Could you be headed toward a deadly affair?” Then comes the advice about how to spot an affair by renewed interest in grooming.
Catch Lucci in the series when it premieres Sept. 8 at 10 p.m., but for know watch a glimpse of her cheeky fun here:
