It’s hard nowadays to make a man dressed like a woman play as a successful sight gag — it’s more like a sight drag, am I right? [Pause] [Crickets] Anyway, the new trailer for the oddly titled indie comedy 3, 2, 1.. Frankie Go Boom manages to pull off some potent comedy from the sheer sight of Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) gussied up as a newly female ex-con.

But Perlman’s not the star of the film. He’s the former cellmate of Bruce (Bridesmaid‘s Chris O’Dowd), a drug addict who used to film himself terrorizing his younger brother Frank (Sons of Anarchy‘s Charlie Hunnam) when they were kids. Now they’re both adults, and Bruce has gotten sober, but it appears life hasn’t otherwise changed all that much for poor Frank. Check out the trailer below, featuring Lizzy Caplan, Nora Dunn, Whitney Cummings, Chris Noth, and a vomiting pig:
