It seems like a whole bunch of Hollywood types have been acting like musicians lately.

Let’s start with Gossip Girl star Penn Badgely, who was caught on tape covering Jeff Buckley. Badgely actually portrays the late singer-songwriter in the biopic Greetings From Tim Buckley, filmed last fall.

And while the movie doesn’t have a release date, the actor went ahead and took his show on the road, performing Buckley’s rendition of “Lilac Wine” (the Nina Simone cover from Buckley’s 1994 debut Grace) for an audience in Brooklyn. Take a look below:

Elsewhere, Mad Men‘s Jessica “Zou Bisou Bisou” Paré took the stage during two recent Jesus and Mary Chain concerts, one in Buffalo last Thursday and another in Toronto the next day. Flanked by the band, the actress sang along to an obscure deep cut from JAMC’s 1998 album Munk. Kidding, kidding — she did “Just Like Honey.” Check it out for yourself:

As the next video shows, Paré also helped out on the band’s Stoned & Dethroned single “Sometimes Always”:

And finally, Scarlett Johansson (who, it should be noted, also performed “Just Like Honey” with the Jesus and Mary Chain, at Coachella half a decade ago) teamed up with Serge Gainsbourg offspring Lucien “Lulu” Gainsbourg to cover “Bonnie and Clyde,” the classic Serge-Brigitte Bardot duet.

Lulu has put together a tribute album for his father (From Gainsbourg to Lulu) that’ll come out on Oct. 30, but yesterday he released the Johansson duet as the first single. Give it a listen below:

So, what do you guys think — Who does their not-day-job did best? Let us know in the comments.
