In the new trailer for the chronicle-of-a-porn-star film About Cherry, high school senior Angelica (Chronicle‘s Ashley Hinshaw) starts doing porn in San Francisco — and then begins dating a lawyer (James Franco) she meets at a strip club — with an alarming matter-of-factness. First-time feature writer-director Stephen Elliott appears to be tackling the world of professional pornography with a style less adorned with the sleezy, lurid kick that other filmmakers have brought to the topic. That said, he was savvy enough to cast Boogie Nights‘ Rollergirl (Heather Graham) as a porn director.
