Burn Notice's season 6 is well on its way to being one of the most explosive yet, and it doesn't look like Michael and Co.'s troubles are going to be over any time soon.

EW has learned exclusively that Patton Oswalt has been cast in the role of Colin Schmidt, a notorious — and incredibly quirky! — smuggler who is just the man the gang needs in order to escape the grasp of the CIA and disappear indefinitely. The catch? The unpredictable mystery man doesn't come cheap. He will appear in episodes 14 and 15.

Meanwhile, Sonja Sohn, who played Det. Kima Greggs on HBO's The Wire, is on the right side of the law as a high-level CIA director. This clever and brazen woman, who casting intel notes "literally [wrote] the book on counter-intel training and procedures," is likely to be a formidable foe for any outlaw. She will appear on a recurring basis starting in episode 13, which will air in the winter.

Four episodes into the new season, Michael and Fiona still find themselves separated as the latter fights to keep her head in prison. Could these castings be a sign that freedom is not far away? Tune into Burn Notice Thursdays on USA to find out.
